Dedicated sessions and side events will highlight the vital links between the cryosphere, water resources, and gender equality. The full program and registration information to follow events virtually can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un-glaciers.org\/en\/world-day-glaciers-2026\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a part of IYGP, a White Paper was released last November at COP30 on \u201cBarriers to Glaciers-related Financing,&#8221; developed by ICCI with support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The paper brought together perspectives from the financing and development impact community to examine the interlinkages between water security, adaptation needs, and growing physical climate risks based on the latest glacier science. Pam Pearson, Director of ICCI, moderated the event.
