Under a high emissions scenario, if these new modeling studies are correct Antarctica might contribute up to 5 meters of sea-level rise by 2150, with rates approaching 5 centimeters per year &#8212; well beyond the limits of adaptation for many coastal communities, including the Nile Delta region of COP27 host Egypt.
