此次会议由日内瓦大学主办，瑞士主持人为卡罗琳娜·阿德勒博士，她是山区研究所（MRI）执行主任兼政府间气候变化专门委员会第六次评估报告第二工作组（IPCC AR6 WG2）的联合作者。开幕致辞由日内瓦大学环境科学研究所的约尔格·巴尔西格教授和苏黎世大学的克里斯蒂安·胡格尔教授发表。区域影响的讲解由来自秘鲁的博士候选人、苏黎世大学的兰迪·穆尼奥斯，弗里堡大学的马丁·霍尔茨勒教授，以及日内瓦大学的马库斯·施多菲尔教授进行。.
