北半球冬小麦地区发生雪旱的频率持续稳定上升,从1960年到2020年,每十年大约增加5-6个%。此外,在超过25% 的冬小麦农田中,作物产量对积雪含水量的敏感性显著增加。这些雪旱通过增加冻害胁迫、降低关键生长阶段的土壤水分、加剧炎热干燥条件的影响以及限制土壤氮素补充,而导致产量下降。随着冬季变暖,预计雪旱的频率将越来越高,对冬小麦的生产力构成日益严峻的风险,并挑战区域粮食安全,特别是在这些困难也影响到其他主要作物的情况下。.
